Anyone useing one of theses for there steel? they seem lightweight enough. just add a reverb pedal and your good to go yes?

I just got a 918 steel bar in the mail and it seems to small for my big hands. maybe its me but it seems short and not big enough. I havent tried it on my lap steel yet because I dont have one.( its being made). anyone else feel like this or am i just being silly newbe.....lol

Iam going to be learning lap steel real soon. should I learn with a Round type bullet tone bar or one of thoses Shubb sp2 or stevens type?

I just thought if there was anyone in Milwaukee or near here that gives lap steel lessons. This might be even better then DVD lessons.

I dont listen to anybody yet. but I do listen to alot of Classic country music and play it alot as well. (Guitar and Banjo, bass) I think what ill do is try it both ways. I play Banjo now but. being new to lap steel and if i like it and learn it, i will be getting a pedal steel. should I use picks or not on the lap steel to start learning. Thanks

I find I learn better with DVD's so I see a few lessons with them. thanks for all the responce's.
