Pete:
Right on man.
Thanks for posting that clip. I love it. It sure is nice to read a thread about Garcia that doesn't contain a bunch of negative posts.

I'd take Brad's advice on this one. The AT 822 is your best bet for the money, and you won't need a preamp. I used to use one with a portable DAT machine for live recording, and it worked well. Here's the link!

Paul Franklin Instruction Course?!
Hi there:
Not too long ago, I believe I read that Mr. Franklin was planning to release a video course on either VHS or DVD. Where do I sign up (DVD preferred)?
I've checked his website, and the only thing available are his CD audio courses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Dobro pickups & Repair
Hey guys thanks for all the tuning info. I just put a McIntyre Acoustic Feather in my Dobro. It sounds a little "Squaky" in the midrange area when I plug it into my Nashville 400. Will one of those Baggs preamps like the Para-acoustic (SP?) DI or the GigPro help me with this or should I us...

Dobro Tunings
Howdy there!
What is the most popular tuning for lap-style, country music Dobro? Right now I play E9 pedal steel but don't mind using any suggested tuning on my new Dobro. Thanks Folks!

Nashville 400 mods???
It's my understanding that the Lemay mod is better than the Peavey 'factory upgrade' for the Nashville 400 but is it worth doing both (<---is that even possible)? Thanks in advance.
In search of better tone,
Scooter

Ingo! Its really nice to see someone posting helpful tablature on a regular basis. Especially licks and patterns of this quality. I've only been playing for about six months so its hard for me to master some of your riffs; however, they all sound excellent. Patterns like the ones above are very help...

The Simpsons' Theme Song
Here is the main riff from "The Simpsons" television show. Its in the key of C. I kind of stumbled upon it one day and really got a kick out of learning it. I didn't know how to tab the proper phrasing but I'm sure you've all heard it before and know how it is supposed to sound. Let me kno...
