I've played a Victoria Regal 1x15 for years. Sounded great with steel. At 35 watts the headroom wasn't the cleanest but it held its own. The model you're looking at looks great for steel imo.

The problems you describe sound very familiar to what I was running into when I got this guitar a year ago. Lowering the pickup did help a lot but in combination with a way more powerful amp did the trick for me. I still run into a little mud on my Milkman Pedal Steel mini at stage volumes. I don't ...

Update: I tested the Milkman amp 100 today and was absolutely blown away by it so i picked it up immediately. I play a show pro guitar with a 705 and a passive Goodrich volume pedal. I can get an extremely loud clean tone (more than my ears can physically endure) I set the pre amp volume around 10 o...

I'm testing a Milkman 100w this friday with a telonics 12" 4ohm. I've had similar issues with the 705 pickup in that regard as well. I had to lower mine substantially to get a decent clean tone on my Milkman 40w pedal steel mini. I had no problem getting a clean sound with my old sho bud with a...

Would love for these to be released as a stand alone unit in the size of a quilter toneblock or a milkman half and half. Another combo amp is a little overkill for me at the moment.

Milkman 300w in Europe

Hi any EU players that have a Milkman 300w for sale? Importing it or buying it new is a little outside of my price range atm.

thanks

Telonics speakers Europe

Would love to purchase a Telonics speaker in the EU somewhere but can't seem to find any dealers. Importing it from the states would cost me around 400-500USD a speaker which is a little crazy to me.

Does anybody have a solution?

Mr Greenjeans - Lloyd Green

Hi!

I'm having trouble transcribing a lloyd green tune called Mr Greenjeans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP7OMECqZQ0

I've got the entire song worked out except for the chromatic 2nd string run starting at 0:10. Anybody who can help me with that?

thanks!

Thank you guys, Thanks Tim, I'll take it to my amp tech to read the current bias and maybe adjust it if needed. I got this one in Europe second hand it has 1 Alnico jupiter and 1 ceramic jupiter 2x10 in total. Sounds amazing, also for guitar, but on bigger stages and higher volumes the headroom is a...

Milkman amps bias

Hi everyone! Can somebody explain to me how the amp bias works on a Milkman Pedal Steel mini 40w? I've got an older version with 2x10 alnico speakers in it and on the back it says "ADJ BIAS" with some sort of jack input. I emailed Tim about it a while ago but didn't get a response from him...

My "new" Show Pro

Just got this amazing Show Pro from Damir Besic. I've seen this beauty pass through here a couple of times and I finally managed to buy it from Damir. Drove all the way to Croatia from the Netherlands to get it. Extremely happy with it, amazing tone and feel. Somehow this thing made it's way to the ...

Hi Damir,

Very interested in this one. I hope it's still available later in the year because I need to sell some gear to make this happen. Super bummed that I currently don't have the funds for this one.

Weighs a ton though

David, There's a dude in Bavaria, Germany who is selling his apparently as-new Show-Pro (a D-10, though). If you dodn't mind the drive, maybe he lets you take it for a spin. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/pedalsteel-gitarre/995396621-74-5981 Thank you Martin I might give that a go! I a...

Could you guys maybe explain to me what the difference between square - round shafts. I'm considering a birdseye maple body probably no mica, so the difference between them would probably be just the changer / under carriage. I'm also considering an aluminum neck instead of a wooden one. I do see so...

My sho-bud is setup fine. I just noticed more sustain and more play-ability with a modern steel with better undercarriage and changer.

Williams vs Show Pro

Hi all! In 2019 i'll finally make the big leap and will purchase a custom steel guitar from either of these companies. It will be an E9 SD-10 Both have such a great sound and all my favorite players play on steels made by these companies. I'm currently playing a Sho Bud 6139 (E9 Rack 'n Barrel) whic...
