Boss Katana Mk2, - Tone Studio, - again!!

Hi Larry.

Thanks for the info on that app.. Unfortunately I don`t have a smart telephone, - am still in the Stone Age making do with a Nokia from around 2000, so I haven`t graduated to apps yet. But should that time come, I`ll be sure to check it out. Thanks, anyway!

Boss Katana Mk2, - Tone Studio, - again!!

Hello again, Fred. I`m trying, and I`m both looking through the Read Me file and You Tube videos. I realize this will take time to get through, and for the time being I have programmed some steel sounds on the Katana using the on-amp controls. But, I`m not giving up, and thanks to your kind advice I...

Paul Franklin Sr. turns 90

Paul Sr., Happy Birthday from Norway! You built me a great D10 Franklin back in the 80`s, and we met quite a few times both at Jeffran College and at your house. Wonderful memories, and may you celebrate your Big Day in good health!

Hi Fred. Sorry about my tardiness in replying. I have downloaded the floorboard Boss Katana software, but have been unable to make it work so far. The software keeps asking me to select Boss Katana or midi in the "preference box," - but after having tried several times I still get the same...

Boss Katana Mk2, - Tone Studio, - again!!

Hi Karlis. Thanks for your reply and timely reminder. I have selected the correct driver - Boss Katana Mk2 - and furthermore the right OS(15) for type of computer. What it may come down to now, is that I have to update software for the Katana. 2.00 is needed, but having tried all day to make this up...

Donny, - wise advice! You`re right. One of the major players over here do things his way, and it sounds great because he`s got the feel and touch on the instrument. I`m nowhere near in that respect, but I agree with the message in what you`re saying.

Thanks again for lots of good advice. Bob, - the " wrong and(or but) strong strategy works! When in the middle of a song you`ve never heard before, the vocalists turns and shouts "solo" to you, that strategy is a lifesaver. A famous steel player I know used to say "just play the ...

That`s also been my approach, but even having written out an intro on tab, it`s sometimes difficult to remember just how the phrasing and tempo should be, - not to speak of syncopations. And without having listened to the song numerous times over some time, I find it hard to remember just how to pla...

Duane. I can appreciate the challenges you`ve got with the different styles of the 3 bands, and I`m sure it helps to constantly listen to the songs to engrain them in your memory. I play steel with 5 different bands and more or less try to remember the songs the way you do. However, what I based my ...

When being asked to do one time gigs with bands at festivals, it means learning dozens of tunes where there are several intros, signature licks, and solos. If you`re asked to play one time gigs with say 3 bands for single festival shows, this might mean upwards of 40 songs. Of course the number syst...

Yes, I`ve seen other clips from Buck`s Ranch Shows where Tom also plays C6, and with more licks and even solos. That boy knew his way around the C6 neck! He also recorded the instrumental Country Rag with the Buckaroos using C6, as well as doing half of Steel Guitar Rag on his TomCattin`album on the...

Larry was a true gentleman, a fine steel player, and just an all around great guy to be with. In his immaculately clean garage, he tinkered with steel guitars, showed fellow steelers the advantages of his B11 tuning, and was just a living encyclopedia of who played where in the old days in Bakersfie...

Columbus Stockade Blues, - backing track wanted.

Gary Hogue plays this tune with a band in a YouTube video, and I`m looking for a backing track akin to what Gary`s band does:

Key of G
Speed around 195.
2/4 bass up until the improvisation starts, then 4/4.

Doesn`t have to be exactly like this formula, but somewhat in the ballpark thereof.
Anybody?

Georg mentioned this, and so do you. Well, like Midler said: The more ya loin, da more ya oin!" I wasn't aware that excess capacity wasn't harmful, I though a device would consume power in a glutton-like manner, - take all it could get and hence destroy itself. Thanks to you, Jeff, and to Georg...

Are these listings on Ebay, Australia? Well, since this type of power supply is hard to find in Europe, I`ll try to find one down under. Thanks for letting me know, I`ll access Ebay Australia and try to find one.
