That saddens me to read. I have no ill will towards you Jay and wish nothing but peace to you and your family. Close it up Bob, it's a nice forum, but this ends my tenure.

Bob, Jim & Michael are smart people and their thinking is solid. I would recommend in addition to their suggestions, as It's easy enough, to take an evening and actually play ( not just look at ) ol' Pete's B6. It's not perfect, but it's worth the trip.

seat height, the almost forgotten variable. I have a old Marlen Pac a Seat that has the bend in my knees perfect. Makes a big difference.

I agree with Rich's solution. Free your ass and your mind will follow. Either way I too was once very concerned with this type of thing until a soon to be friend told me to "just sit and play the thing". I could very well be the worst player on this forum, but "play the thing" ha...

I play a standard height round front 'bud. Ive also played guitars 1" under. For myself, I can feel equally comfortable on either. At 5'3 the biggest help I've found is playing whatever instrument I have ALOT and not bouncing around from one height to another.

67-68 Emmons S-10 $2000

Serial number 1077 S , 6 pedals 2 knee levers. This guitar needs a little work but its a good one. One knee is Emmons and the one is home made. I believe it was converted to E9 from C6. A nice little bonus is that it comes with 12 extra original bell cranks. Pedals 2, 3, and 4 are standard Emmons 5 ...

Donny has a strong point. & thats why music will always be the coolest thing. You cant buy it. Good tone, licks, whatever. Hours in, talent out, period. Great tone is as easy as turning the computer off and sitting behind your guitar.

Follow your ears. Think of the microphone as a instrument, you have to play it. Think to yourself, what is it that I want to improve upon, what have I tried? See what doesnt work and take notes. The room is a very, very, important factor. Is your amp on wood, carpet? Is it in the corner? Personally,...

Sorry Donny for being vague, lots of work and little sleep. I was referring to Neil Young's song Southern Man & then Ronnie's response to it in Sweet Home Alabama.
