Thanks

Tuner buttons

The picture is somewhat askew, there is no missing tuner buttons. There is just a guy who is new to this, and trying like hell to get pictures to work! I believe George had the pick-ups custom wound, I am not sure. They sound very nice, to my ears. There is no case.

Georgeboard's Fender String Master Prototype for sale

I am selling this for $1,000.00. It is authenticated, and has holes for brackets on the bottom. The legs and brackets are not included. I was trying out a new tuning, the letters are latex, they will be removed. Thanks Loyal McAvoy https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1712/13504_IMG_0118_1.jpg

Georgeboard Fender prototype for sale

I am including brackets and legs. I thought I would offer it here before it goes to Ebay. I know it is no big deal but it will come with new strings for an E13 tuning. The number and letters are latex I used to experiment, they are quite easily removed. I am asking $800.00 plus shipping. I am open t...

Leavitt Tuning

If you were to add two strings to a six string Leavitt tuning of: (starting with bass) C#, E, G, Bb, C, D, where would you add the two extra strings (two on treble, two on bass, one on treble and one on bass,) tuned to which note, and why?

Thanks

I think "flash" is great to have when you need it, but a little bit goes a long way. After playing something or another for about 62 years I know that the "flash" number is what the audience remembers you for, and evaluates you by. I hate that fact but I have many times lowered m...

It is my understanding that they have about the same control capabilities, except there is no looper, or extention speaker outlet on the GX. There is also a third sound that can be put in memory (solo) and called upon when needed on the GX.

Actually one doesn't need a fretboard to play pedal or lap steel, one can pretty much do whatever they want. You had better have a great ear though.

You may also consider adding a nicely made additional piece of wood to the end of the lap steel.

Scale

From nut to 12th fret multiplied by two is your scale length to the bridge. You may buy all types of scale length finger boards on Ebay for a reasonable price. It is my understanding that what would be the 24th fret is the best placement for the neck pickup. Many people argue about this though!
