Multikord

I really don’t know much about them. Hopefully I won’t fall in love with it…I really don’t need another guitar!

Would, but I already have it.

I already have the book, but it is missing the record as well...wish I could run across someone with the audio files.

WTB - Console non pedal steel project

I would like to put together a console 6 or 8 string non pedal steel. I'm not much on woodworking skills, so I thought if I could come up with basically the base and legs it would be helpful. I've owned a couple of small pedal steels in the past that would have worked well for this, but don't have t...

Double Neck Multikord - any interest?

A person in my area has a double neck Multikord that she says is in excellent (like new) condition. It belonged to her husband that passed away some time ago. The lady is elderly and wants to sell the guitar for money to go toward her final expenses. She also mentioned having some accessories for it...

Very good, Jamey Johnson is one of the few "real" country artists left in recent country music.

Great job Brian, and a great guitar. The Carter Starters I mentioned in the private message are not in the same league as this model. You should be very pleased when you tune this up and play it.

Well, a couple of reasons. For one, it’s an almost new guitar just not being played. Secondly, it has a very nice sound. Also a factor is that the change would be easily reversible if desired. I only have six strings, so the extra strings might come in handy as well. As for the Peavey, I’ve mess...

Thinking of re stringing my pedal steel for non pedal C6

I have a 10 string E9 PSG, and I just don't think I'll ever catch on to pedals / levers. I just don't really enjoy the complexity of it all. I do enjoy playing non pedal c6. I am thinking about re-stringing the psg to C6 non pedal...anyone done this? My guitar has non gauged rollers and the manufact...

Scotty's books are good and will teach you a lot of useful things. As far as tab books for great sounding arrangements, I don't think Doug Beaumiers books can be beaten. They are beautifully printed, spiral bound and come with CD's with demos and background tracks. A steal at their prices and a must...

Pedal Steel Guitars used on movie soundtrack?

A while back, somebody posted here regarding a movie soundtrack being produced that used a group of about 50 pedal steels to produce some of the soundtrack / effects for a movie. Anybody remember that, and could point me toward the post? I've searched to no avail.

On the 5th lever, I'm still a beginner myself and have never played a guitar with one on it. Some of the more experienced folks on here could probably answer that one better. I would only comment that I've not seen any beginner material that uses it.

I had a long paragraph written but decided just to keep it simple. I've tried about three or four times to learn pedal steel over the years. The first few times were with various used guitars. I have had much more luck this time with the new GFI SM10 I bought new than the other attempts. I would hav...

Yeah, I did manage just to play through them without stopping or slowing down. Just mainly missed a couple of pedal changes even though I've probably played this song a thousand times. One of the main things I bought the guitar for was to play at church on 5th Sundays. I also got my leg bag in this ...

First Performance

Well, after much arm twisting and threats from my wife, I played my pedal steel in front of an audience at church for the first time Sunday night. I played Just a Closer Walk with Thee, using the arrangement from DeWitt Scott's book with a few changes here and there. Went pretty well, with a couple ...

WTB - Leg bag

I recently bought a GFI student psg. It came with a very nice case, but no leg bag. Anybody have a good U.S. source with one of these at a reasonable price? I would also consider used if it is in good shape.

Thanks Harry, I have two of the SX guitars and agree they are great for the money. I've been seriously considering the 8 string one. I just liked the Style of the Jersey lightning and have always wanted to add one to the collection :)

Well I just missed one on ebay, actually forgot the bidding ended tonight at 8 and someone snatched it at the last minute. I hate trying to deal with an auction anyway. Went for $125 which is more than I really wanted to pay but I think I'm done with auctions on Ebay. If it's not buy it now, I'm not...
