Robert: That's true. Now, we came in around Easter break, so many had time off at that point. Lee: Yes sir! He sure was! 😀 Jack: We actually got to Bisbee after visting in Tombstone, driving through the town, and it seemed quite small, so we figured we wouldn't be able to hear any music there at tha...

Fellow pickers, I'm now back in ol' Sweden after a fantastic road trip in the US of A! We covered 4200 miles over 16 days, driving from LA all the way to Eastern Texas - and back. There is a whole lot of nothing in AZ and NM... 😂 We've experienced some places not even residents of the US have seen.....

Going to Brady, TX for the Heart of Country Music Festival on Saturday, April 1st. Will be listening to Gary P. Nunn & The Lost Gonzo Band, Darrell McCall, Tony Booth, Amber Digby, Heather Myles, Landon Dodd, Justin Trevino, Rance Norton & Dottsy. Feels like a good start on our Texas tour.

Sorry for not answering y'all - been travelling. Am now outside of Phoenix, Az. Honestly, I can go more or less anywhere in Tx. Am on a 3500 mile roadtrip in the South West just to meet local people, to experience this beautiful country, having no plans, taking it day by day. Austin - sure, I'll go ...

Any Psg-pickers doing gigs in Texas?

I’ll be visiting in Tx the coming weeks. Are there any pickers doing gigs in the state during that time? Would love to hear some great country music! /Sven

Peavey Session 115 - problem

Hi guys! First - being a Swede, excuse my lack of vocabulary... the language barrier... Have any of you experienced the Peavey Session 115 having problem letting the PSG signal in? I have a problem where the amp doesn´t let the signal in unless I basically press the VP to the maximum level. Doing so...

Another one for Clem's booklet. But not just that. Clem is THE go-to guy if you need your pp properly adjusted or fixed. Anyone can make things shine, but to actually get your pp as good as it gets - he's THE man.

What I mean is that when talking about an "Emmons Bolt-On" pp (not that anybody did that here...) with that special sound often mentioned, that means a guitar with bolt-on changers and alu necks. All Emmons wood neck pp´s came with bolt-on changers, and should not be mixed up with the ter...

This guitar - as a beautiful and great instrument as it is - is not to be considered a bolt-on. It´s a wood neck - that´s it. A bolt-on is a guitar with a bolt-on changer in combination with an aluminium neck.

Honestly, Clem Schmitz is THE guy to go to if you want to have your pp set up to perfection. You don´t know how a pp should feel and work until you´ve sat behind one worked over by Clem. Clem ran the Pedal Steel Guitar Emporium, Mt Juliet, Tn as well as in Mpls, Mn for many, many years keeping the...

Over at my side of the pond I´ve done 6 gigs over 4 weeks time this summer. All outdoor. 2 on PSG and 4 on the bass. Pretty fortunate having those opportunities these days I guess.

Mike Johnson´s red pushpull is a 1982 model. It has the old original chrome surrounded BL705s. Clem Schmitz has serviced that guitar all the time he resided in Nashville. Even some years after he moved back North he serviced it. Mike is especially fond of that guitar. He uses it as often as he can ...

Mike´s "famous red" is a 1982 push pull w/ orig BL 705´s. He cares very much for that guitar - he´s had it for many, many years. He doesn´t fly it to gigs - he brings a LLG for those occasions. He records w/ his Franklin. When you get to hear him pick at the Station Inn he mostly picks...

Hi guys!

Thank y´all for your comments! Much appreciated!

So the verdict is that the barrels stay. Period! :D

I just need to invest some time in learning to understand the system - tuning, adjusting aso.

Thank you again for your invaluable input!

Thanks y´all for comments! Love them! Didn´t expect to see such positive remarks on the barrel system though. Thing is I´m an Emmons pp-guy, and on a pp all is in place, stays in place, no loose ends. I´m new to the Sho-Bud guitars and this Pro 1 has the barrel system which to me feels a bit unr...

Sho-Bud Pro1 Rebuild?

Hi guys! I thought I´d drop a line here to see if there´s any help out there... :D I´ve got this early Pro 1 with two hole bellcranks, barrels/no racks and socket head pull rods (two different sizes) - a terrible system as far as I´m concerned... So I was thinking about removing the barrels, pul...

And the black mica #1249 found its way to ol´ Sweden - to me! The new owners of those guitars will have fantastic instruments - especially the ´68´s. It was something about that year... Not many were made that particular year. And the prices... My goodness!! This is the deal of the year!

On a pp cross rod there is no problem w/ rotation due to the rod being flattened where the plate will be. Clems´ bellcrank is supposed to be an easy to attach part - made to make copedent changes easy on a pp.

From what I learned MJ plays Franklin and his red Emmons pp on sessions, his red Emmons pp also when ever he has the opportunity (on TV-shows and at the Station Inn - rarely live outside NV as he doesn´t fly it) and an Emmons LeGrande live i.e. when touring w/ Reba.
