We had a sax player sit in with us a few weeks ago and he played that song, bringing back memories for me as well. That's what gave me the inspiration to learn it. Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks! LOL

Fred, so sorry that you lost your brother and his wife. Praying for you and all the family left behind.

His brother, Lowery Woodell, who lived here in Macon passed away on November 21st. He talked a lot about Woody and was so proud of him.

I use 4 picks (thumb and 3 fingers). When someone else is soloing or filling, I usually just chunk away at chords on the low strings with my volume pedal backed down. On country tunes I might do the boom-chick thing, or a Chuck Berry rhythm on old rock'n'roll. I never felt right just sitting there ...

When pressing the A pedalon the 10th string, it is just a little flat but can't get the nylon tuner to go either direction. What procedure would correct this?

I also really like the 202 amp, especially thru a peavy black widow 1504. Same combination I use! I love carrying the 202 in to my friday night gigs and hook up and play. I have another cabinet with the 1504 so could play another gig during the week, but gigs are fewer and further between these day...

I have a parallel output on both my guitars and run one output to the tuner. At certain frequencies around the 10th fret, I get a little distortion that disappears when I unplug the tuner. From my limited electronics background it seems that an isolation resistor of some value would likely cure this...

I have a 10-band equalizer and the EHX Knockout pedal. For $68, do yourself a favor and get one. As they say, it will make your strat sound like a les paul of a les paul sound like a strat. Much simpler than a 10-band equalizer. I have two of them as I would sure hate to be caught without one! https...
