Mike, it is the black guitar I'm playing in my profile pic here on the forum and yes it does have the narrow, black LeGrande style pedals.

The first time I saw Mr. Anderson was at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St Louis playing a pre-show cocktail party upstairs from the ballroom using just a rhythm section playing some of the smoothest jazz music I ever heard on a green MSA single neck. My life was changed forever.......

Contentious is a word one might use to describe Curly. When I was in Nashville at Jeffran College in '77 0r '78, I went and saw Curly at the Hall of Fame Lounge. I introduced myself and told him what I was in town for and he picked up a Gibson ES-335 and didn't play steel again for the rest of the n...

Formal Music Education

I was a Music Education major with dual certification in Vocal and Instrumental (Saxophone) and I wouldn't trade the knowledge and background for anything in the world. Things like the Circle of Fifths, types of scales and modes, and even Music History, should be of universal interest to musicians a...

Great news! Jeff probably had as much or more to do with popularizing E9 Pedal Steel as any single person on the planet. I ran all over the central US to his seminars and attended Jeffran College for a week in 1978. Is this great news for the steel guitar community? As Jeff used to say "does a ...

Fred's attention to detail and personal customer service sealed the deal for me. Great guitar, great g...

John Macy, Point well taken. I stand corrected on the steel guitar part. Today's use of pitch correction vocally, not so much. I failed to take into consideration the level of artistry most steel players bring to the table, Most humble apologies, sir!
