Redneck Steel Guitars

A friend of a friend asked me if I could help him with his redneck steel guitar. It was inherited from his father who just passed away. Its 6 strings, 3 pedals and 2 knees, and a pull-release changer (I think...looks different from what I've run across). I can get everything working I think but for ...

Fessenden bell cranks

Just purchased a new (to me) fessy. Does anyone have any bell cranks they'd be willing to sell? Really only need one but would buy a few. I think I can come up with some rods and tuning nuts but I'd buy those too if someone had some. Or does anyone know of another brand that has bell cranks that cou...

Happy someone brought this up!

Jeff I'm glad you asked this since I've been thinking about a PP and have been hesitant since I have the Franklin pedal (and use it often!). So, set up properly, a PP can handle this change no problem? Not to change subjects, but what about the other so called Franklin change (or whoever you want to...

Fred Amendola tabbed the whole solo:

Anybody work out the solo for "Califonia Day"? The song is @12:35 with the steel ride @14:16 (on the same show/link). Any help would be great!

Does anybody have tab for this? Or even better, is the course he made "Keep a good grip on the bar" available (in English)?

Thanks Leo. I'm actually playing the same notes on the 15th fret! I just think it's not actually pedal steel on the recording (maybe even keyboards on a "pedal steel pad"), hence why it never sounds right.

Toby Keith - "Beers Ago" intro

I'm trying to play the short intro part (starts at about 3 seconds):

I'm playing it at the 15 fret, using AB pedals, but it doesn't sound right. Anybody have any suggestions?

Steel Driver III acting strange...HELP!

My Goodrich steel driver III has recently started acting up. The two problems that occur are (not at the same time): (1) Feedback or humming (2) Radio frequency (i.e. I can hear a spanish station coming through my amp sometimes!) I've disconnected everything and traced these issues to the SDIII. I'v...

I was actually just in a studio tonight that had one of these units. We "profiled" the guitar players "3rd power British Dream" amp (http://www.3rdpower.com/product_BD_head_version.htm). The process was amazing and the sound it captured was spot on. A really cool machine!

WTT: Goodrich 402g for L120

I have a Goodrich 402 g volume pedal with tone knob, power chord, and light. I just don't want another pedal to plug in! I would like to trade for a Goodrich L120. If it has the pedal bar attachment, would be great. I can add some money to the mix for the right trade. Thanks! http://bb.steelguitarfo...

Piano to E9 ideas needed!

My band started playing "Everybody knows she's mine" by Blackberry Smoke. There is a short piano solo that I was hoping to fake (or play something similar). If anybody has any ideas, that would be awesome! Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be6mFKu-u_o Piano solo starts aroun...

Anyone have an intro for this, either the fiddle part transcribed for steel or something original they use? Also, any help with the fills in the second verse would be great! Thanks!

Paul Franklin stuff

I recently added the Franklin pedal (P4) (with a lot of help from the forumn!) and am now considering changing my "g" lever to raise full step instead of half and adding the D#->E raise as well. I play in a band that does a lot of PF songs, so I thought getting close to his setup would mak...
