I'm trying to get this steel back in playing shape for someone and would like to know the model and age. I need a few parts that connect the knee levers to the cross rods. Like the set screw and whatever holds the reverse lever parts together etc.

It absolutely is a Frankensteel. A friend bought it and wants to make a project of getting it working again.

I think somebody replaced original parts with any odd thing lying around. The cable pull looks original to me.I'm not sure about the paper clips. They may have been special order.

Can anyone tell me about this steel a friend bought recently. These name on the front says ESTATE. Is it a one off home made or was it production? Any ideas on what those white buttons were for? I would still like to find a source to the periods of time that the live band steel players were active.

I've been searching for some kind of list for the musicians in the band, primarily the steel players, and what years and albums they played on. Any hints on where to look greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to find info on lightweight cabinets and speakers. I'm currently using the Peavey 112e cabinets. They sound great but I'm looking for less weight without giving up tone. Either 12" or 15".
