Those are a few of the toys I've built/modified to suit my taste. Hope you enjoy! All of the bikes pictured here were in stock cruiser form when I started with them. Here's a before/after of the V-Star 650 to give you an idea of what I do to them. ;-) http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/11122...

Why???
Why are the Sho-Bud Permanents and Fingertips not selling for $15,000.00??? Same goes for the pre-1970 Emmons and others that are in good clean working order. Vintage Martin guitars of the same year are fetching $10k on any given Sunday... They say it's because of the desirability of a Brazilian ros...

Yes sir, I believe that I have the ultimate vintage Sho-Bud D-10 Pedal Steel now. Exactly what I wanted!!! Makes me really love trading. When it comes down to it, I traded up to this via the Emmons LGII from a Gibson mandolin that I didn't like... Wound up with it in a trade somehow or another too.....

I can relate to the bike thing, too. Ive had everything from a '74 ironhead chopper to metric cafe racers that I have built myself. I dig the old stuff that needs a little maintenance to keep going smooth. I also deer hunt with a traditional recurve bow, grow my own tobacco, and stuff like that. So ...

I approached Damir with this trade offer. It was my idea, and I knew the difference in prices when I made the agreement. Damir even asked me if I knew the ins-and-outs of vintage steels, as this one likely wouldn't play as smooth or hold tune for hours of playing on end like my Emmons. I wouldn't ex...

Wow!!! I didn't realize this post had blown up so much. Donny Hinson nailed it. I'm very happy with this trade. How many fingertips were made? Only about 100. How many modern Emmons D-10's are there? People are selling and trading them literally every day. Erv, I understand that the modern technolog...

Trading Emmons D-10 for ShoBud D10. Anyone ever done that?
Just found myself wondering how many folks out there have left traded their modern Emmons or equivalent for an early ShoBud, ZB, or that kinda thing. I'm making this move right now and I'm extatic about the arrival of Mr. Damir's beautiful Fingertip Sho-Bud. I'm going to play my last gig on the Emmo...
