The open rectangles in the end-plate is the first clue. But DG is correct - LeGrandes are all-pull guitars.
There are others better-informed on this than I, but the change-over date is around 1982.

Emmons LLGII
For the record, I have a more recent version of this same guitar; in what I believe to be the exact same color or very, very, close. I think at the time it was built Emmons called it a "burgundy". It is quite beautiful, whatever it is called. It always seems to photograph more "plum" when significant lighting such as flash are used; however, without the flash or bright lighting applied it appears to be more dark burgundy or "wineberry" as someone has mentioned. In fact, this color is so pretty when I went to look at it from the original owner I had my mind made up that I wanted a "black" one. Needless to say I came home with the burgundy LLGII overcome with its beauty! Damir always has the choicest of PSG items posted here; I would never hesitate to consider any one of the instruments he sells. Good luck to whomever chooses this great guitar; a good price too!! Roger
