So sorry to hear this shocking news Bobby was the man who let me meet and talk to so many steel players all over world that at one time i thought was not possible through this awesome forum thank you Bobby and may you rest in peace and prayers also to his family

John like i said in the gone home side i was so sorry to hear this sad news. Toney was such a smooth player he made it all look so simple and easy i think i watched every video he made and that Sho bud always sounded so good i feel like i to just lost a good friend may he Rest In Peace.

Wow so sorry to hear this news. it is a shock i just had a video up this week trying to play it as good as he does it Today I Started Loving You Again. talked to him a year ago about his fine playing seemed like a very humbel guy thanks for all the great playing Toney. RIP

Bob sorry to hear about the loss of your friend I remember when a bass player I giged with for 25years passed away 4years ago he was a great guy and friend still miss him to day like it was only yesterday.

What would be a most used gauge in any brand i use Dunlop 025 gauge.

Would any one have the tab for the steel solo in I,am Tired by Rickey Skaggs and also was it Bruce Bouton done that solo I thought one time that Rickey Davis had it on tab. I think I have it pretty close but would love to see some tab on it.thanks

Richard all jokes aside I think I will try a 012. I really never put much thought into any other string for the G sharp although I did use 010 on my Sho Bud quit a few years ago but broke a lot of them.

the only time I ever broke a 011 gauge string was a gig I was playing at one night and on the way home I slid off the road a guy happened to come by with his tractor, and all I had for a tow rope was a extra 011 gauge string to use how ever the first tug he gave me the dam thing broke :( I all ways ...
