Thumbpicks

I am going to lean on the collective knowledge a little bit here. I really like the feel and response of the blue Herco Thumbpick but the blade is too short for me. Is there anything else out there thats similar but with a longer blade?

Landis Picks

My pair just arrived today and I really really like them. The shape of the blade makes picking significantly more easy and accurate. Up until now i was using Hoffmeyer picks which were really nice but the Landis picks did not require any reshaping. Could not be happier with them.

Sho-Bud D10 case with Leg Bag

Case is in ok condition. All latches work. Most of the hardware is there...missing one piece of corner hardware and bumper on the bottom. $100+ shipping. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/10435_20211011_170023_1.jpg https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/10435_20211011_170050_2....

Altec 418-8H Speaker Gasket Question.

Hello All,

I have an 15" Altec 418-8h that needs a new gasket to mount in a new cabinet. Is there a best practice or preferred material I should use?

Thanks in advance.

I can not possibly recommend Ricky Davis enough. I just got my steel back from him this weekend and it plays and sounds unbelievable. There is no greater living repository of Sho-Bud history and knowledge than this man, and he's a heck of a nice guy to boot!

I have to wonder if Buck Owens sang Together Again in C# (instead of C) to accommodate Tom Brumley's pedal steel solo? Tommy, Buck Owens and his whole band most of the time tuned all instruments a half step low. I've heard various stories on the why but can't remember any of them. As far as key cha...

Thanks Keith. Immediately after I posted i had a *duh* moment and went to the steel and played around with bar slants and found a bunch of Mooney-isms. It's a change I wish I had but not sure if or what I'd give up to get it.
