Mickey Adams, Great guy

I needed some of the small cotter clips for my Mullen and I asked Mickey to send me some and bill me. He sent them right away and no charge. I don't know many people that would do that for someone he never met. Thanks Mickey. I absolutely appreciate it.

Mullen cabinet drop

I have noticeable drop on the 'B' string on my Mullen and I was told that it is rare for a Mullen to have drop. Is there anything I can do short of sending it back to the factory?

Taters steel player

When I was still a youngster, I went to the Louisiana Hayride to see (I forget who) and we were allowed to talk to the performers and I asked the steel player his name and he said "Walter Haynes" but at the time, I was still braindead and unaware that I was in the presence of greatness. Ju...

Grand old opery

Haven't played the opery but I did play the Louisiana Hayride, the same one that Hank Williams and Elvis was on, for 2 years. I have to admit that it was a thrill.
When I listen to myself now, I wonder "How did I ever do that?"

I was fortunate enough to hear Barry when he was kicking it. He was one of my heroes but I never told him.

Thanks for the input. It's a shame that they're not more of them built. It's really a great guitar.

That's the one. It's sold now but not because I wanted to. I'd still like to find out more about it because it was such a great guitar. I wish I could have kept it.
