Thanks guys for the comments. This is not work, but a labor of love. Being able to give you an easy chair to make you play longer in comfort is my goal.

I recieved my new seat from Thom as well. I must say mine looks the best; tweed box with mahogany fabric, backrest & ATA latch and handle. I owe Thom a picture. I would post here, but have not taken the time to learn how to post pics.

Mighty comfortable, plenty of room inside and looks good to boot.

Lord have mercy that is a nice looking seat. I especially like the extruded aluminum corners. Would someone mind posting a picture of the interior of one of those seats? Here's what I travel with, would it fit in there?

One Goodrich LDR
One Goodrich pot pedal for backup
About ten packs of strings
A DI box
4 cables
10 foot extension cord
one pouch for tools
a empty pedal box with two bars, picks, etc.
Holy Grail reverb pedal for emergencies

Would that much stuff fit in there?

Thanks for letting me know.

Gerald, how do you travel so lite? Seriously, I pack a full seat (a little more than you) and everything fits with room to spare. I transferred from one packed seat to this one and I had ~ 1/3 freeboard!

Gerald, The insert in the seat is made so it can be easely moved around or removed in about 30 seconds.

I received mine a few days ago. It's built like the proverbial brick s**thouse and comes with the same roominess.

Thanks again, Thom.

I had a chance to try out one of these seats a little while back. No pain in the butt involved. Nice seat! As soon as the spring gigs pour in I'll prolly get one.

I've got one of the seats built by Thom, and couldn't be happier. More than enough room inside for whatever you need, and more comfortable than a lot of "regular" chairs I've sat in! Mr. Green

Joe, mine looks like yours, but it was one of the last ones built by W.C. Edgar, before it changed hands. They're good solid seats.

Howard, You know the old saying about don't fix it if it's not broken. W.C. started a great product and it's our goal to carry on the tradition. We've added a few things, but refuse to take away from the original construction. I'm honored to be able to carry on what W.C. started.
Everyone support W.C. by getting his new C.D. "Close Up The Honky Tonks", it's a killer. Go to his web-site at, www.wcedgar.com.

Andy, mine packed to the gills, 29lbs.
Thanks again for your comments and support.
