Hi everyone, my name is Dusty and I'm new on here. I've been reading the boards for quite some time and I decided it was high time I actually joined. Been playing the dobro for a couple years now, but I'm new to the pedal steel, just got my first, a mid-70's Sho-Bud Pro, which I love a lot. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys!
Dusty Elmer

thanks a lot everyone, I feel really welcome already. Basil, i have a Regal Black Lightning, I like it a lot, good tone, plays nice. I almost took the money I had and bought a National Model D Western but I decided on a pedal steel and i'm really glad I did! do you play the ol' squareneck as well?

Dustin, the Regal is a VERY nice resonator guitar, my reso is just a "Bitsa"
You should post a few examples of your playing, but PLEASE don't use my stuff as yardstick, click this :-

There are quite a few reso players in this forum section including some pretty smart ones from the UK.

Hey Dusty: A big loud welcome aboard to a fellow " DOBRO Player" from my grand state of N.Y. I live in the foot hills of the adirondacks, a small town of Edwards. I play a Square neck Resonator called a " SHO-BRO", built for me by the late and great " SHOT Jackson." So I am also a member of that sho-Bud Club. My former steel was a "LDG" model of the sho-Bud Family Now own an S-10 known as a " Sierra ".But no matter which steel guitar you own, you are now a member of a great organization.Send me an E Mail sometime, O.K?..Bernie [ BING ]

thanks again everyone, I can't wait to jump on in. Bernie, good to meet you. I love the Sho-Bro's, wish I could own one! I just watched an episode of Hee Haw and Shot was on there playing his Sho-Bro, white with gold tuners and coverplate. it was beautiful. I'm just outside Utica, N.Y., I think i've gone through Edwards before. do you go to the Fox Family Bluegrass festival up in Old Forge?
Welcome Aboard Dusty
