Lead guitar & fiddle wanted for N. Texas/S. OK

Post by James Morehead »

Our Lead guitar is out with crhonic back troubles, and is stepping aside. So if you'd be interested in a position that BEGS for creativity to play cutting edge Texas Music/old standard country and western swing, come check us out. We also are wanting to add fiddle to the mix. Shoot me an email!

I play all that stuff, and sing too. Trying to learn PSG, but I've been playing lead guitar since "Wake up, Irene" was on the charts. Bryant, Atkins/Travis, Nichols licks.

I live in Hobart, OK right now. How often do you play, and where?

Man, I wish I was there. I used to live in Ardmore. Just moved to Nashville about ten years ago. There wasn't anything going on in the Texoma area that I was aware of back then, but I guess that's changed, or maybe I just had my head in the sand.

There's a little work over here in Western OK, but of course it doesn't pay much. If we could find a bass man, we could start working right away, at least on Saturday nites.

Too bad Alan Rudd is not around here anymore. He is fantastic on vocals and guitar. I am from ardmore now living in whitesboro. I play steel if anyone reading this needs one. North texas or Southern Oklahoma.

Thanks, Mark. Actually someone should hire Mark. He and I played together in the early 80's and he cut his teeth on Bruce Bouton stuff back then. He's top-notch and his gear is second to none.
