How did Harry Dietrich escape the "lens" ... ???

Harry really "stands out" in my memories of the convention ... as fuzzy as the are ...

Of course there is always that one of him in his "Nudie Suit" on the last page of Andy Volks book ... Image

The few "dark" photos were from Paul Weaver's malfunctioning camera. They were good compositions so I included them anyway.

Harry Dietrich is in one picture... the group shot of all the forumites.

What a wonderful presentation Gerald. Thank You. It's take several sessions just to take it all in. I hope you and Alma & Wally Pfeifer are very proud of such good work. I wish I knew more names of the fine HSGA folks to Thank for putting that convention together; Maybe some forumites can provide us more names of folks that did.

Mahalo,
Aloha,

Nice work Gerald!
A few years back Maurie Junod
sent me a tape of Art and Mae
Lang. Fine musicians,,, and I was glad
to see they were back on stage again
this year. I am very impressed with the
unique "vibrato" of Mae on her EHarp and the Guitar work of Art.
Maurie is an accomplished player also
and a dedicated member of the HSGA.
Altho I have never met these people
they have my utmost respect and I was
thankful to become aware of their talents via the Internet and Steel Guitar Forum.

Best Wishes for the Holiday Season

Great pictures Gerald, thanks much for all
your fine promotional work for HSGA.

Roy, Many thanks for your kind words. We are
truly blessed to know these fine people who
are members of the HSGA and the SGF as well.

In a gesture of appreciation for all of Gerald's hard work ...

Here's a Image find ... from the Polynesian Village at WDW ...

Image

Image

Y'all might remember Gerald's ... "Signature" ... from awhile back ...

I tried to find them via the internet ... but was not successful.

But if you call the Gift Shop at the Polynesian ... I'm sure they will ship 'em ...

$15 for the Service Tray ...

$8 for the Plates ...

Sorry .. they are not dishwasher safe or microwave-able ...

But very cool !!!

I did a little research on Disney's "Hawaiian Holiday" a few years ago after I saw the cell Rick posted for sale at a Disney store for about $450.

Among Disney afficionatos, Hawaiian Holiday is considered a classic in terms of background art. Just look at that cell and the lush soft Hawaiian fantasy background the Disney artists created. Wow! Image

Just airbrush out Mickey and Minnie and put me in that picture. I'd be happy. Wait... I take it back. It would be kinda cool hanging out with M & M.

Just in time for the Holidays ... NOT

DVD containing Hawaiian Holiday

I sure ain't gonna "pre-purchase" .... but come 1-11-05 ... this house will be watching the DVD version.

It's not just backround music ... there is a full segment... where Mickey's "Gloved" fingers "stretch and contort" the strings .... to Sol's dazzeling triplet "whatevers" ...

It is a must have ... even if you don't have any "little folks" like ...

Image

... to "justify" the purchase Image

Happy Holidays ... Image
[This message was edited by Rick Aiello on 11 December 2004 at 09:05 AM.]
