Item 5538997447 - Someone in Europe had prev hijacked pix of an earlier ebay Weissenborn lap steel auction, then re-listed them at a
later time claiming to own the instrument. Ebay shut that one down, but I believe it's happened again with this one. I asked for pix, received a reply, then copied the header info and passed it on to scambuster Bobby Hunter.

Be aware and beware....

The Seller has zero (0) feedback, not a good sign. I wonder why the only bidder's User ID is being kept private. Shoot, maybe they're both crooks.

Forgive me....I forgot to say that I really appreciate the heads-up on things like this. Ebay can be a real hothouse for scams and I know a person who lost a significant amount of money (they bought a computer they never got) so keep these warnings coming!

Looks like ebay ended the auction, hopefully no one got burned. I'm sure this crook will try again tho.

I discovered this auction through another forum and reported it to eBay as a suspicious auction and asked them to look into it.
They really appreciate it when users report possible scams since there's no way they can control all the auctions, and they usually act very fast.

It's very easy,- go to the 'help' menu, choose 'contact' and it's all there,- I hate the idea of some poor bugger loosing lots of money because of stuff like this.
