rhythm tracks

I have been thinking about making some good tracks for practice on various progressions and with various chord durations. When I do this I would want to put it up so anyone interested could just download it free if they could use it. Any suggestions on what progressions would be most useful. Let me know. It will probably be a couple of weeks till I start and they will be simple live recordings of a good rhythm section.

Mark sounds like a good idea I have checked this post a couple times hoping someone with more musical knowledge and ability than I have would offer some suggestions
Only thing I might suggest is a few tracks to some old standards that would be recognizable to almost anyone with easily followed chord progressions with the 1,2,4, and 5 chords and then a few with some minors or 7ths in them It partly depends on what group you want to make them for, whether it is begineers or more accomplished players

Thanks for the input Larry. I think some of the tracks are gonna be framed like standard songs. I have noticed that many tracks I have dont have short enough chord durations so I will try to address that. Not necessarily up tempo, rather 1/2 as long of chord durations. Should be an interesting project. Im sure I will learn alot about my own shortcomings once I get started. I still gotta convince some of my playin buddies to come help with the tracks as I dont want to program them.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Mark, I would think a I vi IV V and I IV V7 would nice, espcially with a shuffle beat. Those are pretty common I know, but it would be cool to have tracks like that for improvision practice. I actually make them for myself with just a guitar, but the whole band would be really nice.....Just a suggestion.....James

The progression to "Swinging Doors" is pretty common.

Something Like -

(Turn-around as you wish)

Here's a Swing I did last summer, a progression taken from the '40s, Bb makes it friendly for keyboard & horns players.

|Bb6|Bb9|Eb9|Eb9|F9|F11 F9|Bb13 G7+9|C7 F11|
|Bb6|Bb9|Eb9|Cm7|F11 Gb13|F9|Bb6|F9|...

For "fiddle friendly" transpose to "A".

Everyone can play a 12-bar Blues Shuffle
|E|A|E|E7|A|A|E|E|B|A|E|B|
Of course you can make it as simple or complex as you want adding passing chords, say from bars 6-10.
