I have been kickin around this 10 string tuning and wondered anyone have a suggestion on a better rout.
F, A, C#, D#, E, G#, B, C#, E, G# Would this give me a 9 and a 7 in the botom end and if so will that be an effective use of the E6th tuning for 10 strings. Or is there a better use like doing the copedant on the top two strings for a scale run similar to C6th.

Your top 6 strings are a standard E6th setup. For you to get a ninth and a seventh (dominant) to the E scale, you will require an F# and a D somewhere in your bass section....put it all together and you will have E13th.

My 10-str. (E)-tuning would l©©k like this: E–B–D–E–F#–G#–B–C#–E–G# = E9/13. [Or, I should say; ‘will’ l©©k like this, if I ever get around to a T–10.] My other (2)-tunings will l©©k like this:
Lo-A–C–C#–E–G–A–C–E–B–D = C6/A7 and
C–E–F–G–A–B–C–E–D–F = C-Diatonic

Thanks John, That is what I'm going to try. It looks like the way to go.

I have a low B on my 10, its a bit weak in fundamental but very cool when playing high on the neck.

In the mid to late ’70's, I had Shot Jackson build me a (4)-Neck 10-string. Now I wish I would have kept it! I let it go, because; Non-Pedal was not acceptable around Nashville during those years! But, they just didn't know!!!
