Topic: Were triple 10 non-pedal ever built???? |

| I get all kinds of calls and someone called and asked if I had ever seen a triple 10 non-pedal steel. I have never seen one and wonder such an "Animal" exists.If anyone has info I would like to find out more about these guitars. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works. |

| Tom Morrells' Bigsby is a Triple 10 but he only had two of the necks strung up. If you go to Ricky Davis' website www.mightyfinemusic.com/ and then click on house of wood, you will see many great guitars as well as a Triple 10 Sho-Bud non-pedal. |

I have a Rickenbacker 8-10-8. Great sounding guitar. Have never seen a triple 10 non-pedal.

Bigsby made at least 3 triple tens-two of them were wood neck ones-One is owned by Chas Smith and the other (formerly Tom Morrel's) I believe is owned by Mike Black-The largest one "Chief Mack Thomas" is owned by a Tulsa area dealer

Paul, with all due respect, I believe that Tom's Bigsby had at least one pedal neck and the giant Mac Thomas was a pedal guitar ( I had considered buying it when it was owned by Steve Soust, but it was a very expensive piece of "furniture"). To the best of my knowledge, the Ray Meyers' T-10 wooden neck Bigsby, 1956, is the only one.

Chas, being the wise a$$ that I am  , I thus announce that Tom's Bigsby started its' life as a non pedal. Mike sent me pics of it when he got it and underneath it has the handwritten text "pedals added..." ( don't remember when ) |

You may not believe this, but; it's true! Around 1975 or 1976, Shot Jackson built me a (4)-Neck 10-str. Non-Pedal Sho-Bud. It was during the years that Sho-Bud was building Fender PSG's, Whatever years that covers! No ome wanted a non-pedal steel in the band, so; I finally traded it back to Sho-Bud, and lost track of it, except for the info. that someone in Murfreesboro, Tn. bought it! It had the Fender-Type Tuning-Wells and the raised Sho-Bud fretboards. Dual-Coil P/U's with ( mini-toggles on the end. (1) to turn each neck ON individually, and (1) for each Dual-Coil. It was finished in Mahogany-Stain. The case was made by the same company that was making Sho-Bud cases at that time. [Hooper Trunk Company] 2nd. Ave. No., in Nashville. I've often wished I'd have kept it! But, now that I have (2) Fender T–8 Customs, I've pretty well gotten over it. BTW: Does anyone know where I can find a Case for a (6)-Neck Fender Custom? {(3)-Necks on the top and (3)-Necks on the bottom.}
