After years and years of false starts on trying to learn to play the steel, I've decided to start from scratch and really apply myself to properly learning to play and get rid of all the bad habits I've acquired. I have a copy of Jeff Newmans Right Hand Alpha. I'd like to know from those of you who used this tape to learn right hand technique if it was worth the pain and suffering or is there a better way? I'd really rather not waste anymore time on things that won't work. If Jeff's tape is the way to go, I'll dig in and do it. If there's a better more efficient way to learn right hand technique then let me know and I'll do that. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. |

John, by all means, stick with Jeff's tape; dive right into it; don't be discouraged; anything worth having is worth working for; Jeff was a # one teacher, as far as I am concerned. He did so many grand things for the Steel Guitar Profession. May he rest in peace..Bernie [ Bing ] |
