As I obviously do correct SPELLING !!
I wish you could edit the titles !!

Part of an album I'm just finishing off for Bob Brolly (MBE)

NOT the final mix (The vocal reverb has yet to be determined)

Bas, when it comes to country music, that is MY type of music. It's magnificant, it's one of those versions that makes the "hair stand up". True feeling. Your playing just adds the required touch.

I got so enthused over the sound, I forgot to mention reverb. Personally, I don't think it needs any more. Of course, sound is a personal preference, but I think a vocal should just have a natural "presence" sound, and not an effect added as a gimmick.
Just my humble opinion. Good luck on the album.
Geo

Dont Fix It, I Love the Steel work
That crying steel is what comes from the heart, and who could not feel the emotion.
Also 5 stars for the Lady singing.

Thanks for the comments lads, I'll try another mix today with a LOT less 'verb on the vox..

Do I need to tweak the tuning on the steel anywhere in the solo. ?
I'm much too close to the "woods and can't see the trees"

Dear Basil,

Nice job, sounds good. Sometime when you are fooling around on the guitar, try this approach for the first three notes on strings 3 and 4:

string 3) 1----------3----------3
string 4) 1----------3C---------3

Pick strings 3 and 4 just once on fret 1, and the rest is a sustained gliss with pedal bend and release.

submitted with respect, and encouragement...JW

Basil, that is absolutely beautiful and you didn't copy John note for note. IF it becomes a CD and the rest is just as country, be sure and email me because I will definitely buy it.

Basil,
very sweet and lovely. I like her voice a lot, it's rich, her vibrato and timbre are a bit quirky in a good way, it's a unique voice. You playing and tone is very nice, very rich, too. Is that your Fender PS210? Thanks for posting this!
