Willie Nelson - Who's the Steeler?

Post by Bobby Lee »

I hear pedal steel on Willie's new recording of Stella Blue. Who's the steeler?

Way cool tune for us old Deadheads. Image

Yes, it's Jon. The album is produced by Ryan Adams. I've heard the cut "Hallelujah", Leonard Cohen's song. Jon is all over it. Sounds excellent.

What a perfect song for Willie to sing. I like Jimmy Buffet's version of Scarlet Begonias, too. I think Sonny Landreth and Jimmy's regular steel-guy are on that track.
