I'm a little late in this post, but retirement has made me lazy

I visted Jim Palencar's Steel Guitars of North County a couple of weeks ago while on a vacation in the San Diego area. Man, what a cool store! Jim has a collection of steels which span the history of the instrument, and some really cool amps as well. I enjoyed talking steels with Bob Meeks (SD area steeler), and discussing Jim's new forward knee lever he is building on his beautiful MSA.

If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by this great steel guitar store!... but allow at least a couple of hours to check out this fine collection of steels.

Thanks Jim, and BTW, I met Frank Carter last week at the San Jose jam, and have made plans for a summer trip to "Shangrila", of course with my S12.

Thanks David, for the kind words- it was terrific to meet you as well. A word of caution about Shangrila- plan on adding another few days not only enjoying that amazing spot--but also you will find Frank, his lovely wife Fran, and his playing will richen your life beyond words~~~
