The picture below was shot right off the TV so I apologise for the poor quality. It's circa mid 1970's from the old Jude n' Jody TV Show out of Oklahoma City. I think thats Terry Bethel playing an old Sho-Bud D-10. Can someone please verify if I'm right on this one. I just recently found this tape after thinking it got destroyed several years ago. Nick

If it ain't Terry then it's gotta be Peter Noone from Herman's Hermits.

It sure is. He looked a little like that when I saw him with Tillis in the 70's.

It also resembles a young "Doug Campbell" who was a steel guitarist on the Jude and Judy Show during that era.

Yes, that's Terry. I used to see him regularly in the early 70's when he was with Tillis.

I've got an even younger picture from the mid 60's when he was part of the Ferlin Husky "Hushpuppy" band.

I met Terry in 1968 at the Flame Cafe in Mpls., when he was with Leon Boulanger's Band. He was playing a Domland D-10 psg at that time. He had a much shorter hair style then.
Prior to Terry's gig at the Flame Cafe in the late 60s, he played for Ferlin Husky & Claude Gray.

I met a similar~l©©king Terry Bethel at a Club in the Hills, overlooking Wheeling, W.Va. in the early 60's while he was with Claude Gray, and I worked the Wheeling Jamboree with Curley Herdman and the W.Va. Boys.

Nick and the rest of you,
YES, I will admit that is me.
The guitar was indeed a Sho-Bud, and if memory serves me correctly it was 8 x 8, standard pickups, the finish was the antique finish, it looked different colors under the different colored lights.
The basic finish was a black base with a gold overlay. It looked black, gold, green and any color that is associated with the three colors. It served me well, I had it for 8 years, then I got a pro three,(that I didn't like) then I got the champagne color super pro that eventually turned burnt orange. The super pro also served me well I kept it 8 years, and then traded it in on my first Zum. The super pro was in Memphis the last acount I had of the guitar.
Nick, I would love to have a copy of that show if there is any way you could get me one.
And by the way guys, I am better looking than the other guys you said I looked like.
Thanks,
Terry Bethel

Terry,
This shot came from the tape I once told you I had. For several years I couldn't find it here at the house, but the other day I found it in an old box of stuff packed away. I'll be glad to send you a copy. Shoot me your mailing address.
Nick
