Country Music Channel
Am I alone in being very frustrated with the Country Music Channel ? They play soundbites of some of the country greats and then fade them out and talk over them. The comperes seem to think that they are more important than the music. I don't know how many times they've started to play Hank Williams' Move It On Over and then faded out to some idiot talking after about 15 seconds. Obviously they have the entire song recorded, so why don't they just play it.
And I'm so tired of watching various Country Music Awards. It's 10% music and 90% talking about it. I'm not really interested in a countdown of the top 100 love songs, railroad songs, burying mamma songs, according to the ratings of someone they never announce, and then hearing the same 5 second soundbites over and over again.
It was quite a relief when they played a few HeHaw reruns... at least they were letting them run without interruption.
Wouldn't Country Music fans prefer to just watch and listen to songs all the way through ?
And what's with the cameraman zooming in on the wrong musician ? The number of times I've seen a lead guitar break where they zoom in on the bass player is countless, in all types of music. If the cameraman doesn't know anything about music he shouldn't be filming a musical event.

I totally agree.
However, just for the record, it's the Director that calls the camera shots. The cameraman just follows the shots called for by the Director
