I can't get to Ireland this year, Malcolm.
John, I've no idea what year it was made, or even if it is a Denley.
It might be an Ormston, which as far as I know was a Denley put together in the Burns Guitars factory, in the 60's.

the first pedal steel I had was a Rose Morris single 8-string,four pedal affair with either raise or lower not both.I did a
straight swap for my 1954 Gibson Les Paul
Black Beauty which I think I lost out on.
I am, and always will be, a ZB man after
that !

I like "Sunday in Dixie" in the E-9th tuning, but I'm cureous to hear it on the
C-6th neck. Would it sound as sweet?

Fred,
I made my own backing tracks a few years ago.
Real instruments (bass and rhythm guitars) and a drum machine (Alesis SR16)
My copedent is Jimmy Day (3 pedals 4 levers), with standard E levers on the left knee and dropping sixth string a whole tone on RKL, dropping second and ninth strings down to C# on RKR
Roger, I can't play C6, it's taken me 20 years to get my head round E9

That is very nice, Richard. Thanks for posting those clips! You've got a nice touch, and that guitar has a sweet tone (kind of sounds like an old Sho-Bud to me).
