I changed my C pedal

Hello fellow steel players!
I have been playing pedal steel since 1957.
I have an MSA D-12, 8X4 - I do not have a C 6th though. All 12 pedals work on extended E9th. For your imput my 8th pedal lowers my bottom G# to F and bottom E to B flat. For years I had the standard A, B, C pedals - but didn't use the C pedal very much. Seemed just as easy to use 1st string with A & B. I always wanted a Major 7th using my 8th pedal. So, I changed my C pedal to raise 6th string (G# to A) & lower my 10th string (B to B flat). When I use LL & 8 & new C, I get a nice fat B flat Major 7th on strings 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. When I play "Misty" the E flat Major 7th is on 5th fret when the song is in E flat. Another use I found for the new C pedal is (example: 6th fret) lower the E's and B pedal gives you an F7th. When I use B and new C and lower E's I have the F7th, when I come off B, the top E flat goes to a D giving me a F13th - come off all pedals and I'm right in B flat.
I'm still experimenting with this new C pedal- any ideas or comments post them here on the forum.
God Bless - Bob
p.s. This is only the 2nd time I have posted on the forum - I hope you can follow and understand, let me know.
