We had a wonderful time Friday night in Corpus Christi, joined some family and friends to see Zona Jones with Jody at the steel. 8 piece band, wonderful musicians, great singer, some of his own tunes plus classic country and western swing = a great experience. If you get a chance to see this band, do it.
A few of my kid's friends were there, some told me they weren't country fans and for the first time really enjoyed the music, that was cool.
Thanks for your hospitality Jody, that was some sweet playing. Dang, and I thought I was done buying things, now he has this new gadget... |

Thanks Ward! Sure had a great time with you and your family in Corpus. Thanks for coming to the show and hanging out with us.
I don't think I ever get done buying stuff to try - I think it's kind of common among us steelers, ha!

Hi Lee - it was the Korg Toneworks Pandora. After using it all week, I've decided that it is a great practice tool with the metronome and aux input, etc. It works "OK" in a live situation I guess, but is somewhat lacking in quality. Also, it seems to take the edge off the high end a bit too much for my taste when playing through an amp live. It sems to color the tone of the guitar more than I like.
Still a good tool though...JC |
