I've been getting into Jeff Baxter lately. The tunes I have found already are Brooklyn Owes The Charmer, Pearl of The Quarter, Razor Boy, and Fire In The Whole -- all Steely Dan.

What other good tracks are out there that really showcae Skunk's steel playing?

I see you mentioned it, but if I had to name one tune that inspired me to take up steel, it was "Pearl of the Quarter." I did not listen to country music at all back in those days.

Michael took the words from my mouth...
"Pearl of the quarter" once turned a country hating guy into a (parttime) hillbilly....loooong time ago.

Ah,, Pearl of the Quarter.. Great steel on that.. Learned that one top to bottom, side to side.. My all time favorite Skunk steel piece is VERY short, but SO cool.. Neals Fandango with the the Doobies....bob
