He was playin' a S-10 Emmons PP thru a
tube amp! He did a set with Terry Hansen,
and then Josh Davis. He was smokin', and
I think I learned something. Way to go
John!

John is indeed fine player. I didn't know he has an Emmons P-P.

Josh says good things about both Gary and John!

By the way John or Gary, I need Josh's phone number so he know's he's getting a sub next weekend. I can't get ahold of him. If you see him please have him call me at 707-953-3163.

Sorry to hijack the thread!

Mike P, I first played a 3 set show at the Cantina with Josh Davis; then jammed over to the Cowboy Palace, where Brandin graciously invited me to sit in, wound up doing a whole long set.

So it was Gary's S10 p/p I was playing, a bit fumblingly here and there I must add... why do so many of you have the E's up and down on the left knee? Too much work for one appendage! Oh well, I managed, despite that and the missing 2 low strings! Thank goodness the band was doing real simple country stuff, I don't think I even had to play a minor chord.

Thanks for the compliments, y'all!

Gary, as always you played everything really sweet and appropriate, great tone through your rig, I always love hearing you pick, my friend.

Dave Z, I know you're doing all NoCal gigs except the Friday in Petaluma, right?
Any good sub ideas for the boys? I mentioned Bobby Lee who's right there; Joe Goldmark, and Bobby Black, but that's my old crew, I'm sure there must be other players I don't know personally.

Thanks John. I have a sub lined up but there hasn't been any communication with Josh. He doesn't respond. I just want to keep him up to date on what is happening. I thaought that if you had more shows with him you could have him give me a call.

Thanks

I'll tell Dave that a sub is arranged, hopefully Josh will call you if he's curious. But he's pretty laid back, so who knows.

Have a great time with Josh and Kirk, we partied pretty hard and had a blast at the Santa Susana Cantina, staff there was fun and real nice to us.

Henry Nagle. He's a forum member. He's a young player that caught on quick and was gigging on steel after 2 months! (That was a few years ago). He plays guitar too and is very musical.

Well, guess who I just heard from? Thanks again John (I'm assuming you talked to them). It's all settled. I play Thursday and Henry plays Friday.

Now if they had only sent the working cds like they said they would........

Looks like I'm winging it again!
