Anybody know someone that would like to cut some original songs I've written? "Looks Like You're Gonna' Make It Now", is about a girl whose boyfriend has just filmed a music video, released his first cd, and will soon be leaving on tour.
Recorded on TASCAM DP-01FX. I used Yamaha FG-335II acoustic guitar, Emmons Legrande w/pad, my $99 Kawai FS660 for added drums, keyboard chords, and organ riffs. Thanks.

Mickey, most studios have some beginning artists or groups that will record a song for you for a few hundred dollars. This would only be a very rough cut to see how the song would sound with an actual singer. If you have hopes of ever getting the song produced by a major label, that would require a more professional "demo" be produced, with professional musicians and extended studio time, and all that would likely cost you several thousand dollars.

What Donny said - check the smaller studios; the ones that advertise "4 songs on CD - $400 - full studio use". The guys that run those places know bands that would play your stuff just to get more recording experience...you just foot the bill for studio time. If the band wants to charge you, I'd look around a bit.

Thanks guys, this was just a rough, songwriter type recording. I don't expect any miracles, just do it for hobby, but would like to get lucky once. Writing original songs is like working an intricate puzzle for me. Hardest thing is coming up with ideas to work with. Thanks for listening.
