I was just watching CMT with Randy Travis & Josh Turner. The Steel player does a great job both on Steel as well as Dobro. Anyone know who this is ? |

Hey Bill,
I just spent some quality time with Tommy Cass this weekend and he did quite a bit of work on my 79 Emmons which you purchased new. Tommy is a great guy and we had many laughs. I finally had some time to hear Tom play and he sure made your old guitar sound great. He sure knows how to get that Emmons
sound. I live a little over two hrs. from him but I wish I were just a little bit closer. Great Guy !!!

Steve's been Randy's steel player for awhile now and he's also worked with a few artists on their records, like Josh Turner's latest record, "Your Man", and he also worked on a record by a female country singer in Georgia named Leesa Biddy. Jeff Surratt played on that show too...Jeff played on the Josh Turner songs and I played on the Randy Travis songs...he was the one playing the great dobro stuff too!As a matter of fact,I thought he sounded much better than me-and if we weren't such good friends,I'd really be mad about it!

Steve - Both of you sounded great. That was a wonderful show of talent - both singing and picking.
