I wonder when in 69 that was. Jimmy Peppers took over as the Jones Band Manager in 69 and he said Sonny Curtis was gone when he took over.
Neil Flanz told me Peppers called him about steel in 69 and he auditioned at the union hall. As it turned out he could have had the job but he was already scheduled to go to Europe with someone else and there wasn't enough time for the person to get a replacement for Neil. |

Jack why not go to Sonnys web site and e-mail him and get it straight from him . I believe Sonny was with George and Tammy for quite a while after that . G.P. |

Jack, ask Jimmy sometime, I believe Gary Boggs took over the steel playing in late mid 69. I believe Hee Haw was taped twice a year, In June and October ,I think.
By the way, hope your feeling better.

Gary, I'm getting my info from Jimmy Peppers, who was the Band Manager for Jones. Jimmy also wrote several songs that Jones and Tammy recorded including "Playing Possum" for George and "Forever Yours" that Tammy recorded.
Also from Neil Flanz. |

Thank you Jack for the MAN you mentioned. Jimmy Peppers was also the root writer for Ferlin Husky or Tommy Cash in sixties.
Songs like "Love Takes Care Of Me", "Forever Yours", "Let's Put Our World Back Together", "Before I Found The Wine" and many more are golden forever.
