I aquired a very old lap steel guitar with the brand name of "Tri-State" on the head.
Has anyone ever heard of this brand????? Thank you very much, Chuck

Chuck -- I found a very vague reference to Tri-state lap steels as being made by Kay ... but nothing else.

Chuck: if you give a description of the instrument, someone should be able to identify the maker, assuming it was manufactured by another company. The odds are it was made either by Kay or Valco. Tri-State certainly could be an independent maker, although it's not a brand I remember coming across.
