Chris... From the sound of it, I can't have washed my hands before the taping!
Several people have remarked how cool it must have been to do this. I must say it didn't feel like any sort of big deal at the time - the Beatles were no more, and George was just killing time. He was never a guitar-player that I held in high regard, but I've stated elsewhere how likable he was, and I really enjoyed a couple of hours of (very) frank music discussion in the BBC bar with GH and Billy Bremner (the guy with the Telecaster). George and I were the same age, and it was interesting how much our influences paralleled each other's.
Now he's sadly passed away, I find I treasure the memory more than I once did, although I'm horribly embarrassed to hear my feeble early-efforts on steel guitar....

You're sounding great on that clip! You are nailing the signature lick, and your playing has the right attitude. The tone is very funky and unique as well.

I must say that I wish I still had that ZB - it was beautiful! The trouble was that I sort-of took it for granted. For a long while, ZBs were the only American steel you could buy in the UK, and these only from Eric Snowball in Maidstone. It's silly, I know, but they never struck me as having the same cool-factor as an Emmons or a Sho-Bud - maybe just because they WERE available in Britain (if that makes sense!)
Now I'm capable of a degree more objectivity, I know I should have kept it. I did a lot of tours, gigs and sessions using the ZB, and at least I have some evocative photos of me playing it. The day I traded it for a Pro-111 was a big deal for me, but that guitar's gone now, too....

Well, Larry, I certainly am!
From Bristol to Nebraska, eh? Relatively speaking, I'm not that far from you at present, and doing a summer gig at Medora, North Dakota - a far cry form 'home' in Naples, FL.
I remember doing holiday-relief work for the regular musicians at the Bristol Locarno ballroom in the late-1960s - it's a lovely part of the World!
