The CD, "Buck Owens Sings Harlan Howard", seems to have Ralph's picking all over it, and I just love it. I didn't see any mention of the names of the musicians that participated; the song, "Heartaches For A Dime", does anyone know who did the fantastic instrumental on this? |

If you are referring to steel it is Ralph Mooney on the whole album.

That is one of my favorite albums too. In the late 50s I spent a lot of time with my trusty Fender 400 and a turn table and that record over and over (sometimes slowed down) trying to learn all of those great licks. We didn't have tabs yet. I did the same thing with Jimmy Days' "Steel and Strings" record. |
