Joe, I was watching an episode of Midwest Country today when Norma Jean was on. You played a great sort of a muted kickoff and turnaround for "Let's Go All The Way". When the song was over, you put down one bar and picked up another. What was that bar you used to get that muted sound. (Might be a trade secret and you'd have to kill me if you told me?} |

You might have to kill yourself if I told you....!! No, really it's about 4 inches of an old broom handle. I heard about it somewhere along the way to get a banjo-like effect. Haven't experimented beyond that. I don't know what kind of wood it is, but it comes in handy once in a while! I sanded it down real smooth.
Thx,
Joe |

Thanks for sharing Joe. I thought it would be something real high tech like an Alkaseltzer bottle or something. |

Joe used the other end of that broom~handle to clear the dust from the Steel, before the show! I still do that, but; with a soft paint~brush!

I've been doing that for years, it sure gets me some strange looks at times. I got the idea from Gene O'Neal.
