Bruce Hamilton – Vancouver, BC has one of the finest Push Pull technicians I have had the good fortune of meeting. This past weekend at the Northwest Steel Guitar Super Jam, Bruce honored us with his presence and his fine steel work. When I learned he was an experienced push pull technician, I decided to see if he would be willing to look at my old horn and do some tweaking. I didn’t think it need a lot but what it did need, I knew I couldn’t do.
Bruce said he would be happy to look at it and around midnight we took it up to his room and I headed off to stay with some friends. I figured I might see my guitar again sometime Sunday afternoon. Wrong! When I got back the next morning around 9:30 he asked if I was ready to check it out. He stayed up until after 3:00am doing a lot more than tweaking it. This was a new guitar, with pedal and knee lever action perfectly dialed in and everything working the way it was supposed to work. I couldn’t be more thrilled with his work. He did all of this for less than it would have cost me in shipping costs to send it to any of the other fine technicians around the country (including him). What’s more, he really cared about the guitar and what it needed.
If you have a push pull that needs a little TLC, I highly recommend Bruce Hamilton. His advice comes from years of experience and his heart is just where you would want it to be. May God Bless Bruce Hamilton for bringing my old push pull to life and ending hours (or maybe days or even months) of frustration for me.
