Chrissy and I went to see Mike Cass play with Ray Price in Chicago last night and WOW what a show! Mike has nailed the classic tone used on the original recordings with his GFI and Fender amp, played some fantastic stuff, and Ray sounded great too! Got to see Paul Warnick and Roger Light too, a wonderful evening. Don't miss this show if you have a chance to see it! Way to go Mike! |

I agree 100% on Mike's ability to get ‘that ’ Classic Sound! He's been getting it for a long time now, with various Guitars and Amp. combinations! I'm sure the equipment is only a small part of it!

Yes, it was a real treat to see and hear Mike playing with Mister Ray. It's no wonder why he has that gig. Loved the entire show - and so did everyone else, according to all the standing o's and plentiful applause. Keep up the great work, Mike! We're happy for you. |

Been on a High ever since Sunday. Can't think of the right words to describe that Show except, Awesome..Super playing by Mike Cass and I've never been to show that had 3..yes 3 fiddles. 9 piece band and they worked together great! What a cool venue also. Very small and intimate. The sound was great also, not loud and pounding your chest like so many show's we've been to! And then there is Ray Price! What a Class Act. Can not believe he just turned 80. Sounds better than most in their prime! It looked like Ray really appreciated Mike's playing. He would watch him play those famous steel parts and get this little smile on his face. Again, way to go Mike. |

Was Bobby Flores one of the 3 Fiddle players?
I know Ray uses Bobby when he can get him. |

Nope, no Bobby Flores this time. But the two guys and a gal he did have sounded grrrreat.
Thought it was neat how much Ray had Mike play. He gave him lots o' solos.
Ray turned the band loose on "Fly Me To the Moon" which I really enjoyed. |

Thanks for the info Chrissy. You can bet if Ray has them in his band, they are going to be great musicians. And he hit the jackpot when he got Mike Cass to play Steel for him. |
