...it's me! I've been plunking on this Sho-Bud for many years and thought I played pretty well. But now after listening to all the wonderful players of today, I'll never get that Nashville thud! ...now I understand why the wife closes the door and the dogs howel when I fire this thing up,
..."it's not the guitar, it's me"!

wehn i first started playing i had to put the dog outside. but when i got a pro model (ZUM STEEL) the dog quit howling so i am either getting better or he likes a zum steel like i do. and again check the tunning. doc

A guy once told me he went through 3 wives learning to play the fiddle.

My dog lays right down beside me when I play the steel. Of course my wife and daughter are gone shopping....hey....wait....

...how much is this steel practicing really costing me?!!

My wife once had a canary that would do it's best to drown me out when I was praticing the steel.I thought it was cool.Funny thing though, it seldom sang much when I played regular 6 string.Don't know if it liked the steel and just wanted to join the fun,or wanted me to turn it off and find something else to do. PJ

I was practicing by the window this morning and a funeral procession passed by. I stopped and stood up....it was the least I could do after being married 32 years to her!!
