Does anyone know of any Thumbs Carlisle video?
The man was fantastic with his style of laying the electric on his lap and flat burning it up no matter what the style of music.
Thanks,

I've seen one clip recently (it was from a Tennessee Ernie Ford show, and Thumbs really tore it up on either a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster)...and I'm not at home now to check into whether it was a public-TV Classic Country special (not the old Al Gannaway films) or whether it was the lesser of the two Roger Miller "King of the Road" DVDs. If it is the latter, I'm referring to the combo CD/DVD set as opposed to the far-superior stand-alone DVD of the same name and which I suspect was a TNN production originally. If anyone can follow this up before I get home, jump right in. |

Try the Hall Of Fame -
Curlys step-son Carrol gave me a video that he got in Nashville from the Hall Of Fame.
It is footage of The Ozark Jubilee (Springfield, Missouri) when Curly and Thumbs were on the Bill Wimberely band.
Carrol had it playing at Curlys funeral and gimme it afterwards.
