Steel Guitar in Indy?

I used to live in Indianapolis for about 9 years and was active as a Steel Player. However, it has been a while and I am out of toch with the scene here.

I am in town for two weeks and have my rig with me... any place to play or sit in anywhere??

Tim, there is a band playing at Stabbles in Indy this weekend, 3 of them are my nephews, they play a lot of originals as well as cover tunes. The music they play is mostly upbeat but it is all good. The name of the band is called "Dixie Highway" from Tenn. ask to talk to Steve,they may let you set in but it would probably be a freebee.
Their ages are from 20 to 30, and a 5 piece band. At least checkem out and see what you think.

hay tim i lived outside of the windy some years ago. i have reciently heard that nashville north and a few others have shut down. is this true. where are some good country bars at around the windy now days. i come up there from time to time to visit family and friends. i played psg in a church there in dec had a good time. looking forward to more trips to the big windy. thanks doc.
