i dont' know what all the squabble is about with carl dixon. i don't know why he left the forum, i don't even know the man but if it was me i wouldn't let anyone chase me off of here. from the articles i read he is a good christian man. nothing wrong with that. i don't know what all the comotion is about why someone would say something bad about this man or why nor do i care why people should have respect for others. but the most important thing here is to forgive where forgiveness is needed. i have only been playing psg for almost 2 years now not very good at it but i can play a few songs. i really enjoy playing in churches and speaking from God's word. i feel from the few things i read about carl that he is a good man that passes on vital info on psg as well as the word of God. as for the ones that chased this man off of here they need repentance and need to approach carl dixon with an appology seeking forgivness. just my opinion. doc

| If you don't know what the squabble is about, then why do you state that someone chased him off the Forum and needs repentance? It is becoming very clear that there is an organized campaign to continue the divisive squabble Carl started by saying that another steeler's playing was "garbage" and he was getting his popularity because of his race. If you want to see the original squabble, do a search under Steel Players with C Dixon as the member. Read the posts from August 4-9, 2004. No one chased Carl off the Forum. He was legitimately challenged for his outrageous opinions and bringing religion into every topic. He voluntarily left the Forum and can come back any time he wishes. It is entirely up to him. He doesn't need anyone else's permission. When he sticks to steel guitar subjects he is a valued contributor. If you want him back, read those old posts, where you can find his email address, and send him your emails. For the rest of us, the repeated offensive lie that he was innocently singled out for abuse is getting increasingly irritating, and is certainly not doing Carl any favors. Anyone who wants Carl back should send their emails directly to him, and leave the Forum for steel guitar topics. |
