I don't know if it would help get Carl back or not. But, I believe Carl should know just how many of us really miss him, and would like for him to rejoin his flock of steel guitar brothers. Some of you may have never had the pleasure of knowing this great man, or have not had the thrill of reading his indepth and knowledgeable posts concerning the steel guitar. I miss him, as I know many of you do also. I would like to start a Petition To Carl Dixon to return to The Steelguitar Forum. Maybe, just MAYBE, it may be a influence to him to return.

As a new-comer I have spent hours reading old posts, trying to figure things out. There are a lot of contradictions and differences of opinion. Some information I take with a grain of salt.

"C. Dixon" is among the names that catch my eye as a source of valuable information.

In other words, it is not difficult to tell the guys with opinions from the guys with years of experience.

Carl, the many here who want you back are the ones who are important- opinions are cheap, everyone has them, but yours are very well informed and valuable. We'd be much better off if you came back. No one can guarantee you wouldn't be bothered by someone- it's the nature of the beast. I don't mean to speak for everyone, but I'd say any thinking person would be furious that you'd get hate mail. Hopefully that 'person' has moved on from the Forum. Wishing you the best in any case...

Put my name on the top of the list.

I wouldn't blame him if he didn't but it would be awfully nice for us to hear from him again.

Hope all is well with you, Carl.

It ain't the same without ya' Carl.

A lot of greats are no longer among us. All of us "young" middle aged guys are in need of communication and virtual sharing of experience that only you and those like you have.

Those from the old school grow less in numbers each year. One day it will just be us reminiscing about you guys, your times, and your ways.

So, for now, if you could see your way to make our shared time here...shared, we'd all appreciate it...., well, I'd like to say more than you know,....but you know.
